GREAT ARTICLE!!! It makes me SO mad to be criticized for staying at home... it is a sacrifice of not only finances but in some instances of self, you are on duty twenty four hours a day with little to no adult conversation, it is constant grocery shopping, diaper changing, cartoons and baby talk... it is also a joy and priveledge and a concept that has sadly become foreign to so many! I love you and appreciate the post! It is a great encouragment to know there are others out there who support the stay at hoem mama!
I don't even have kids and it pisses me off when people say that mothers don't do anything all day. They do like everything there is to do. They spend all day keeping kids alive and themselves sane. That seems like a lot of work to me.
